Greetings from BBQ to everyone in BGO land and guests from social media – we hope you become a member here.
The 2019 NFL draft arrives on Thursday, but it is time to have a little fun. Today, we bring you the annual “Outrageous Mock Draft” and while BBQ will get a bit crazy with this entry, it will also keep it somewhat real. Could such a scenario play out next week? Probably not, but nothing can be ruled out. Right? Hey, you never know.
This mock that has multiple trades. This mock takes it to the limit. This mock could fill so many needs. This mock is not too realistic, but having a good time with it is what’s important.
If any of you want to post a crazy kind of mock, BBQ would love to see it! Try not to go way overboard. The purpose of the “Outrageous” mock is to push the envelope and keep it from being completely unrealistic.
Let’s get right to it and have some fun!
Upcoming Dates:
- Days until my next load of laundry needs to be done: 478
- Days until I start my diet: 10,622
- Days until I cheer for the Eagles: Never
- Days until I get a date with Adrianne Palicki: A work in progress
- Days until I win the lottery: It’s a lost cause
Without any further delays, let’s take a look at this mock.
Pre-Draft Trade
The Redskins trade a 2020 fifth round pick to the Arizona Cardinals for quarterback Josh Rosen.
Round One: Trade
The Redskins move down with the Raiders in the first round and obtain their two first rounders and a fourth rounder.
Round One: Montez Sweat, Edge/OLB, Mississippi St.
The health concerns are a false flag and the Redskins get a steal late in the first.
Round One: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
Getting a stud like Hockenson is a good thing.
Round Two: Trade
The Redskins trade down in the second round with the Chiefs for both of their second round selections.
Round Two: A.J. Brown, WR, Mississippi
Because he is really good.
Round Two: Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College
A solid left guard is needed.
Round Three: Deionte Thompson, FS, Alabama
A Redskins draft without a player from Alabama is like a waffle without syrup.
Round Three: Trade
The Redskins trade their comp pick in the third round and add a fourth and fifth rounder.
Round Four: DaMarkus Lodge, WR, Mississippi
Adding another solid receiver is the way to go.
Round Four: Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama St.
He is going to be a stud.
Round Five: Devine Ozigbo, RB, Nebraska
Watch out. A huge locomotive is coming through.
Round Five: Maxx Crosby, OLB, Eastern Michigan
Having two Xs in his first name makes him a great player.
Round Five (Comp Pick): Easton Stick, QB, North Dakota St.
Because he will be a great backup for many years.
Round Six (Comp Pick): Blake Cashman, ILB, Minnesota
The Redskins seem to like him.
Round Seven: Olamide Zaccheaus, WR, Virginia
Because adding a football player from the NCAA Men’s Basketball Champion makes perfect sense.
Round Seven: Ulysees Gilbert, ILB, Akron
His first name means the Redskins will win many battles.
Round Seven (Comp Pick): Joe Dineen, ILB, Kansas
All Joe does is tackle, tackle, tackle.
In Conclusion
There is your yearly “Outrageous” mock from BBQ. We will have a mock each day next week – including two mocks on Thursday (first day of the draft).
