The Packers: Bad Times in Green Bay

Boy are Packers fans in a bad place! Crappy record-for them-just got blown out by the Titans, ARod's seriously off his feed, their D has been less than hoped for, injuries galore and the fans are shell-shocked.

Fire McCarthy! Fire Capers! Fire TT! Fire somebody! posts are all over the place. Whew!

They're not even sure they'll win against the Skins either. Some think maybe yes, some think we'll be the "turnaround game"-others expect yet another ...

The Vikings: Fallen on Hard Times?

Man, starting the season hot as a firecracker at 5-0 and then losing 3 games in a row to teams you really shouldn't have lost to can really mess with your head.

This is the state of Minnesota Viking fandom. Shell-shocked, angry disappointed but to an extent defiantly optimistic among some and despairing among others.

And, of course, not at all sure they can beat the Redskins Sunday.

And they are now operating without ...

    The Bengals: Showdown at Wembley

On to London for a tussle with the Bengals. Bengals fans are confident...to a point. Many are worried about the Redskins like most of the other teams fans we play.

    guyofthetiger

I think the Bengals go to 4-4 with a win across the pond. The British will see a Dalton/Green show at Wimbley Stadium. I'm predicting the final score to be Bengals 27 Redskins 23 in a close game. Gio has a good day rushing and the Bengals D looks better this week.

    The Lions: QBs and Defense

The Lions are coming off two wins in a row with a hot Matt Stafford leading the way. Now the four-game-win-streak Redskins come to town to try to stop the Lions streak at two.

How are Lions fans looking at this game? In a lot of ways, actually-some optimism, some pessimism, some uncertainty-the usual stuff.

Like I have seen a lot recently they are expecting a tight game.

They generally acknowledge two things-Stafford has been playing really well, and ...

The Eagles: Landing on the wrong wire?

Maybe the Eagles fans were in a state of shock after that unexpected loss to the Lions but there wasn't anywhere near the amount of chatter about the upcoming game with the Skins as I had thought-or hoped.

Be that as it may, there was some, mostly fairly confident, but, as I have seen on other boards, a fair amount of wariness about playing a suddenly streaking Redskins team.

The Ravens: Get Pecked or Get Plucked

Up the road a bit we go for a visit to Ravensland. So, how do Ravens fans see this game?

Well, after a disappointing loss to the Raiders and some underwhelming performances by the team-they ain't being cocky-at least not very much.

There is a theme that seems to be emerging among upcoming Redskins opponents.

It's not exactly outright fear-but they are wary of playing us due to some increasingly noticeable improvements in our play on the field.

    The Browns: Hope against Hope

The Browns. What can I say?

If things get too sad, angry, down, or unproductive in Redskinsland all I have to do is visit a Browns fan board.

What a dismal state Browns fandom is in. A lot of them aren't even angry anymore.

They act resigned. This is a sad fanbase.

There weren't very many threads directly aimed at the upcoming game with the Redskins, mostly being about problems the Browns have-and they are numerous.

The Giants: Third Time The Charm?

The Giants, coming off an improbable win over the Saints, now sit at 2-0 and the Skins, after stumbling to an inauspicious 0-2 start come to visit amid lockerroom turmiol, ex-player recriminations and fan dismay hoping to right the ship before it runs aground.

Giants fans haven't been ignoring the seemingly chronic hullabaloo surrounding the Redskins in its latest incarnation but they have their own worries and concerns about the game mostly dealing with deficiences in the Giants ...

The Cowboys: Stumbling out of the gate

The Redskins and the Romo-less Cowboys, both coming off opening losses both desparate for a win.

And both loaded with a fanbase full of angst, worry and whistling-in-the-dark hope about how the rest of the season might go.

Dallas fans are worried about substitute QB Dak Prescott, worried about a shaky pass D-and to a notable extent not at all impressed with the job Jason Garret

    is doing at head coach.

    (Sound familiar Redskins fans?) ...

The Steelers-Monday Night Football-Hello NFL World!

Well, here it is-the first regular season game for the Skins-MNF, no less-against the Steelers.

Time to get a first look at what all the offseason maneuvering and football cookery has concocted.

Now to the topic at hand, what are Steelers fans saying about Monday Night?

Well, for one thing, they don't expect to just run the Skins into the ground in a ho-hum opener against a bottom-feeder opponent.

They expect a tough, hard fought game. ...
