Position Battles the Sequel: Right Tackle and WR
The Redskins will enter training camp in just over one month with several position battles worth keeping tabs on. Right tackle, strong side linebacker, wide receiver, quarterback...even running back have storylines worth watching.

Some battles beg the question whether the front office did enough to address the issues; others are worth watching simply to see whether there are going to be changes in players' roles.

Every article I read about the WR competition talks about Thomas taking over for ARE in the flanker position but yet I clearly remember him being drafted to play behind Santana in the split end position while Kelly was drafted with the idea of playing flanker. This was also reflected in the teams official depth chart last season with Thomas listed behind Moss and Kelly listed behind ARE.

Are writers just stuck on the fact that since Thomas was drafted higher he should move into the weaker position even that is playing out of position?
