Dream Team Documentary
Did anyone catch it on NBA TV?
This was one of the best sports team (if not the best) put together. The documentary shows all behind the scenes stuff and how they literally dismantled every team. Amazing stuff reall.
"I don't know nothing about no Angola, but Angola is in trouble " Barkley before first game of 92 Olympics
Classic!

While I agree the team was a "Dream" but putting Christian Laetner on it, I believe they minimized the team's true excellence. As much as I have disliked Shaq over the years, he should have been the choice over Laetner.

Yeah, that was against college players though.

El (and I vomit as I say this), Laettner may have been the greatest college player of the last 25 years. Certainly better than anyone else who could have been chosen in 92. I hate Duke, but the guy was light years better than Shaq in college, though everyone could see Shaq was going to make the better pro.
They decided to include one collegiate player, and I have no quibble with Laettner.
Stockton over Isaiah? Well... harder for me not to argue that one. And I effing love Stockton, probably my personal favorite player of all time. But Isaiah was ridiculous in the late 80's, and probably should have been on that team.

I agree with Laetner's accomplishments, but mind you he played for Coach K. Shaq was the better player of the 2, I don't really care what Laetner did against college players. And I have the luxury of history to prove my point.

Well, the point was they decided to pick one college player for the team. Laettner was the best player in college basketball at the time, so he was chosen. You have the luxury of history, but those picking the team did not.
EDIT: Mike, hope you saved some lighter fluid and a match. Blargh.

No need for lighter fluid. This idea that Laetner was the right choice has been going on for years. It was arguable that Laetner was the best college player that year. Shaq was absolutely dominant on a team that was pretty talentless that went much further than they should have because of Shaq's dominance. Laetner had Coack K. Put him on that LSU team and they don't even make the tournament the same year.

I will agree, just for the sake of never saying anything good about Duke ever again.
Although, that statement *IS* pro Coach K. Eff Coach K! FOOK DOOK!

Yeah, I know. I still think Isaiah deserved to play, trudged or not. And I hated when the Bad Boys walked off the floor without shaking MJ's hand, completely classless. But Isaiah is one of the most underrated players in NBA history. Shoulda been on the team, imo.

Isaiah has nobody to blame but himself for where his rep is. I loved his play too but he was an asshole and cery full of himself.
The practice tapes are my favorite of them just going at each other tooth and nail for hours. Magic tried to gold on to the hop reigns but in the end it was obvious to everyone including him Jordan was the man.

Can't argue with that Mike, especially at that stage in their careers. Jordan needed Len Bias in the NBA during his peak. That could have been like Bird v. Magic.
My bad guys, just every time I get to thinking about Jordan's career, I always think about Len and what could have been. It always me me sad!
