Extreme, you're not the only one that has dealt with this on a personal level. Yes, anger does take hold certainly, but also sorrow. Immense, overwhelming sorrow. As Boone said, some people are mentally ill and have severe problems that you can not possibly understand. Others are selfish as you suggest, certainly. But it is exceedingly dangerous to paint with such a broad brush.
If you are incapable of putting yourself in another's shoes and imagining the pain you cause by making some of the statements you make, perhaps THAT is something you need to work on.

This, this, and this.
Being selfish comes in many forms. Someone who thinks their life and opinions are so important that others must accept them, regardless of their own, for instance.

Returning to the thread theme, legendary boxing trainer Angelo Dundee has died.
http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/0...ntcmp=features
I know he will mainly be remembered for his days with Ali, but I will always remember him urging Sugar Ray Leonard to step it up against Hearns, "You're blowin' kid", just before Ray unleashed one the best barrages of combinations in boxing history, and felled "The Hit Man".
RIP Angelo.

thank you! you said it very well and probably better than I would.
Angelo Dundee..one of my female roommates barely knows sports and said "wasnt he a legendary boxing trainer?" and it just showed how important he was to the sport.

Whitney Houston is dead. 48 years old.
Fame.
Some can't handle it. Sad.

No idea. Haven't heard, although I'm sure most assume that's the case. Could be wrong though.

I used to be a huge Teddy Pendergrass fan when I was like 12. Yeah yeah! I know! That is kinda weird. Anyway, when he sung this with Whitney, I fell in love with her! She was so beautiful and her voice blew me away!
It all ended when I started to listen to Iron Maiden though!
Anyway, rest in peace Whitney Houston.

Just so hard to believe. What a voice. What a talent. Been trying to think of something to say for a while, but that is all I can think of at this time. Her range was incredible and I really enjoyed her music.
Dang.

Damn I was just watching clips of her on Joan Rivers The Fashion Police with my daughter earlier.
Who doesn't remember her rendition of the Star Bangled Banner?
RIP Whitney

Probably her best moment. I'd only heard about it (I had other things going on at the time) until tonight.

Was tonight the 1st time you heard her sing the National Anthem for Super Bowl XXV? I missed it on the night of the Super Bowl that year. It wasn't until a few years later that I was able to see the full version.

Yes. I was deployed in Desert Shield/Storm. Seriously had never seen it before, only heard that it was the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner ever.
Hard to argue having seen it.
