I love the adjustment aspect of NASCAR. Sure, the technology in F1 is far superior. The driver can basically make the car "perfect" from the cockpit. But then, anyone can drive a car that's constantly dialed in.
I have a lot more respect for a guy who's hanging it at 200+ MPH in a poorly handling race car. And I love the aspect of having to take what the driver is telling you (not telemetry) and decide what adjustments to make.
NASCAR could adopt many of the technologies currently used in F1 or IndyCar, but I am very happy that they've made sure that the crew chief and teams remain such an integral part of a driver's success.
This is just one of the many, many points that can be brought up to the "drive fast, turn lefters."

not at all. jgr and hms have two things down...oil and chassis. yeah, they took some hp from jgr in nationwide. noticed what happened? jgr simply refined the oil even better than before.

As you know, HP numbers are never officially released. All of what we get in terms of dyno numbers is hearsay. Some of it is pretty good hearsay, but it's hearsay nonetheless.
(Hmm....Wonder if I could use "hearsay" one more time. Yep. Just did.)

it didn't happen after the race. an official noticed it after the cars were brought down pit road just before the rain came down. the car was sitting a bit lower and they did a quick look-see. again - this is what i've heard, no confirmation yet.

Again, NASCAR does not release dyno numbers. Anything that we get is leaked, and as you see here, generally leaked anonymously.
Which makes it what? Hearsay. Have I mentioned that yet?

That's crazy if it's true. Sounds like a very, very alert official.
The anti-Jim Joyce if you will.
