Is it really a curse?

Some have said that the Redskins have been cursed from the day when Dan Snyder bought the team. Others say it is a curse from Jack Kent Cooke. Some say it is just bad luck and nothing more.

What say ye?

It's not a curse.

But I do believe in karma. And ours ain't so good.

With supreme arrogance comes a mighty fall. I think that's been the hallmark of the Snyder era, and it's hurt us tremendously. Although I do believe even a guy like Snyder can learn, and perhaps has been learning, the Redskins have been in need of a full body industrial strength karma wash for a long time.

If Mike Shanahan and company can't finally turn the franchise around and get the Redskins back to, not just an occasional winning season, but a winning tradition, then I may start believing we're accursed.

And btw...the Oracle is wise...you'll find your answer!

I don't think it's a curse but the colossal arrogance and equally colossal stupidity of Dan Snyder yields predictable results season after season. The coaching merry go round isn't even worth talking about. The only hope I see is that in the off season they may stumble into some good acquisitions in the draft but what will happen to them in this organization? Note well Carlos Rogers comparisons of playing for the 49ers and playing for the Redskins.
I've abandoned hope on the free agent market because I don't think NFL players with a shred of self respect want to be associated with this organization.

I know I curse a lot on game day..but I dont think we are cursed. If anything Joe Gibbs left us enough good juju to carry us on for the next 100 years.

I will say that it seems like the Skins are a heartbreak team first class for some reason. The only exception is the first Gibbs era. Before and after that it's just mediocrity for the most part.
