I wonder what they're going to do for a Superbowl halftime show when these stars from 30 years ago start dying off? :dizzy2:

I guess the day after the Super Bowl is gonna be a Manic Monday.

I'd rather watch my toenails growing.

When I turn on a football game, I want to watch a football game. I'll grant you that it's a strange concept, but that is just my way.

When I think of football I think of power, energy, strength... you want an act that will inspire that. Why not go with Enya?

Seriously though, there must be some high energy, pump up the crowd country, rock, or hip hop acts that are pg enough to get most of the crowd going and keep everyone inspired.

They did pretty good for a couple of years there. Really enjoyed The Who, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and Bruce. Last year was underwhelming though.

Interesting, Neo. I'm kind of on the other side of the fence here. I'm flat-out tired of the nostalgia-trip of groups from thirty years ago. I loved 'em then and still do but seeing grandfathers in their sixties doing rock 'n' roll just makes me want to leave the room. I need new blood.

Hell, I'd just as soon put up with Lady GaGa as an aging Madonna. Yuck.

I've often thought that the immensely awesome "Yeah" by Usher/LilJon/Ludacris would have been a fantastic SB halftime show.

the problem though is that Gaga may have a nipple slip or say something controversial. You know that when The Boss gets up there he is just gonna crank out some hits and be done. He isnt looking to make a name..hes already done that.
