I looked it up on Snopes and even sent the text myself to confirm it works and it did.

Texting "HAITI" to the number 90999 will add $10 to your phone bill, with the proceeds going to the American Red Cross to help the people in Haiti affected by the earthquake.

Cool Mike. I donated through Yele Haiti (http://www.yele.org/), Wyclef Jean's organization. Nevermind how you do it, just do it.

One other thing. Pretty much everyone is donating now. Consider waiting several weeks or even months to donate. Or space your donation out over time. As is almost always the case, after the initial story fades the donations do too.

I would also suggest a donation to Doctors Without Borders. They were in Haiti before the earthquake, and will be sending more doctors down there now. Just a great organization in general.
